2:19. וְהָיָה H1961 W-VQQ3MS ׀ PUNC בְּמוֹת H4191 הַשּׁוֹפֵט H8199 יָשֻׁבוּ H7725 וְהִשְׁחִיתוּ H7843 מֵֽאֲבוֹתָם H1 לָלֶכֶת H1980 L-VQFC אַֽחֲרֵי H310 PREP אֱלֹהִים H430 EDP אֲחֵרִים H312 AMP לְעָבְדָם H5647 וּלְהִשְׁתַּחֲוֺת H7812 לָהֶם EPUN לֹא H3808 NADV הִפִּילוּ H5307 מִמַּעַלְלֵיהֶם H4611 וּמִדַּרְכָּם H1870 הַקָּשָֽׁה H7186 ׃ EPUN

2:19. וְהָיָה בְּמוֹת הַשּׁוֹפֵט יָשֻׁבוּ וְהִשְׁחִיתוּ מֵאֲבוֹתָם לָלֶכֶת אַחֲרֵי אֱלֹהִים אֲחֵרִים לְעָבְדָם וּלְהִשְׁתַּחֲוֹת לָהֶם לֹא הִפִּילוּ מִמַּעַלְלֵיהֶם וּמִדַּרְכָּם הַקָּשָׁה ׃

2:19. יט והיה במות השופט ישבו והשחיתו מאבותם ללכת אחרי אלהים אחרים לעבדם ולהשתחות להם  לא הפילו ממעלליהם ומדרכם הקשה

2:19. וְהָיָה ׀ בְּמֹות הַשֹּׁופֵט יָשֻׁבוּ וְהִשְׁחִיתוּ מֵאֲבֹותָם לָלֶכֶת אַחֲרֵי אֱלֹהִים אֲחֵרִים לְעָבְדָם וּלְהִשְׁתַּחֲוֹת לָהֶם לֹא הִפִּילוּ מִמַּעַלְלֵיהֶם וּמִדַּרְכָּם הַקָּשָׁה׃

2:19. ‏וְהָיָ֣ה׀ בְּמ֣וֹת הַשּׁוֹפֵ֗ט יָשֻׁ֙בוּ֙ וְהִשְׁחִ֣יתוּ מֵֽאֲבוֹתָ֔ם לָלֶ֗כֶת אַֽחֲרֵי֙ אֱלֹהִ֣ים אֲחֵרִ֔ים לְעָבְדָ֖ם וּלְהִשְׁתַּחֲוֹ֣ת לָהֶ֑ם לֹ֤א הִפִּ֙ילוּ֙ מִמַּ֣עַלְלֵיהֶ֔ם וּמִדַּרְכָּ֖ם הַקָּשָֽׁה׃

2:19. When a leader died, the next generation would again act more wickedly than the previous one. They would follow after other gods, worshiping them and bowing down to them. They did not give up their practices or their stubborn ways.

2:19. But when the judge died, the people returned to their corrupt ways, behaving worse than those who had lived before them. They went after other gods, serving and worshiping them. And they refused to give up their evil practices and stubborn ways.

2:19. But it came to pass, when the judge was dead, that they turned back, and dealt more corruptly than their fathers, in following other gods to serve them, and to bow down unto them; they ceased not from their doings, nor from their stubborn way.

2:19. But whenever the judge died, they turned back and were more corrupt than their fathers, going after other gods, serving them and bowing down to them. They did not drop any of their practices or their stubborn ways.

2:19. And it came to pass, when the judge was dead, [that] they returned, and corrupted [themselves] more than their fathers, in following other gods to serve them, and to bow down unto them; they ceased not from their own doings, nor from their stubborn way.

2:19. And it hath come to pass, at the death of the judge -- they turn back and have done corruptly above their fathers, to go after other gods, to serve them, and to bow themselves to them; they have not fallen from their doings, and from their stiff way.

2:19. But when each judge died, the Israelites again sinned and started worshiping the false gods. The Israelites were very stubborn—they refused to change their evil ways.

2:19. But it happened, when the judge was dead, that they turned back, and dealt more corruptly than their fathers, in following other gods to serve them, and to bow down to them; they didn\'t cease from their doings, nor from their stubborn way.

2:19. And it came to pass, H1961 when the judge H8199 was dead, H4191 [that] they returned, H7725 and corrupted H7843 [themselves] more than their fathers H4480 H1 , in following H1980 H310 other H312 gods H430 to serve H5647 them , and to bow down H7812 unto them ; they ceased H5307 not H3808 from their own doings H4480 H4611 , nor from their stubborn way H4480 H1 870.
