8:9. כִּי־הֵמָּה עָלוּ אַשּׁוּר פֶּרֶא בּוֹדֵד לוֹ אֶפְרַיִם הִתְנוּ אֲהָבִים ׃

8:9. ט כי המה עלו אשור פרא בודד לו אפרים התנו אהבים

8:9. כִּי־הֵמָּה עָלוּ אַשּׁוּר פֶּרֶא בֹּודֵד לֹו אֶפְרַיִם הִתְנוּ אֲהָבִים׃

8:9. ‏כִּֽי־הֵ֙מָּה֙ עָל֣וּ אַשּׁ֔וּר פֶּ֖רֶא בּוֹדֵ֣ד ל֑וֹ אֶפְרַ֖יִם הִתְנ֥וּ אֲהָבִֽים׃

8:9. They have gone up to Assyria, like a wild donkey that wanders off. Ephraim has hired prostitutes as lovers.

8:9. Like a wild donkey looking for a mate, they have gone up to Assyria. The people of Israel have sold themselves-- sold themselves to many lovers.

8:9. For they are gone up to Assyria, like a wild ass alone by himself: Ephraim hath hired lovers.
