40:9. וַיָּמָד אֶת־אֻלָם הַשַּׁעַר שְׁמֹנֶה אַמּוֹת וְאֵילוֹ שְׁתַּיִם אַמּוֹת וְאֻלָם הַשַּׁעַר מֵהַבָּיִת ׃

40:9. ט וימד את אלם השער שמנה אמות ואילו שתים אמות ואלם השער מהבית

40:9. וַיָּמָד אֶת־אֻלָם הַשַּׁעַר שְׁמֹנֶה אַמֹּות [וְאֵילֹו כ] (וְאֵילָיו ק) שְׁתַּיִם אַמֹּות וְאֻלָם הַשַּׁעַר מֵהַבָּיִת׃

40:9. ‏וַיָּ֜מָד אֶת־אֻלָ֤ם הַשַּׁ֙עַר֙ שְׁמֹנֶ֣ה אַמּ֔וֹת ואילו וְאֵילָ֖יו שְׁתַּ֣יִם אַמּ֑וֹת וְאֻלָ֥ם הַשַּׁ֖עַר מֵהַבָּֽיִת׃

40:9. He measured the porch of the gate as 14 feet, and its jambs as 3— feet; the porch of the gate faced inward.

40:9. It was 14 feet across, with supporting columns 3-1/2 feet thick. This entry room was at the inner end of the gateway structure, facing toward the Temple.

40:9. Then measured he the porch of the gate, eight cubits; and the posts thereof, two cubits; and the porch of the gate was toward the house.
