9:7. חֵץ שׁוֹחֵט לְשׁוֹנָם מִרְמָה דִבֵּר בְּפִיו שָׁלוֹם אֶת־רֵעֵהוּ יְדַבֵּר וּבְקִרְבּוֹ יָשִׂים אָרְבּוֹ ׃

9:7. ז חץ שוחט (שחוט) לשונם מרמה דבר בפיו שלום את רעהו ידבר ובקרבו ישים ארבו

9:7. חֵץ [שֹׁוחֵט כ] (שָׁחוּט ק) לְשֹׁונָם מִרְמָה דִבֵּר בְּפִיו שָׁלֹום אֶת־רֵעֵהוּ יְדַבֵּר וּבְקִרְבֹּו יָשִׂים אָרְבֹּו׃

9:7. ‏לָכֵ֗ן כֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ יְהוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת הִנְנִ֥י צוֹרְפָ֖ם וּבְחַנְתִּ֑ים כִּֽי־אֵ֣יךְ אֶעֱשֶׂ֔ה מִפְּנֵ֖י בַּת־עַמִּֽי׃

9:7. Therefore the LORD who rules over all says, "I will now purify them in the fires of affliction and test them. The wickedness of my dear people has left me no choice. What else can I do?

9:7. Therefore, this is what the LORD of Heaven's Armies says: "See, I will melt them down in a crucible and test them like metal. What else can I do with my people?

9:7. So the Lord All-Powerful says, "A worker heats metal in a fire to test to see if it is pure. I will test the people of Judah like that. I have no other choice. My people have sinned.
