33:9. אָבַל אֻמְלְלָה אָרֶץ הֶחְפִּיר לְבָנוֹן קָמַל הָיָה הַשָּׁרוֹן כָּעֲרָבָה וְנֹעֵר בָּשָׁן וְכַרְמֶל ׃

33:9. ט אבל אמללה ארץ החפיר לבנון קמל היה השרון כערבה ונער בשן וכרמל  {ס}

33:9. אָבַל אֻמְלְלָה אָרֶץ הֶחְפִּיר לְבָנֹון קָמַל הָיָה הַשָּׁרֹון כָּעֲרָבָה וְנֹעֵר בָּשָׁן וְכַרְמֶל׃

33:9. ‏אָבַ֤ל אֻמְלְלָה֙ אָ֔רֶץ הֶחְפִּ֥יר לְבָנ֖וֹן קָמַ֑ל הָיָ֤ה הַשָּׁרוֹן֙ כָּֽעֲרָבָ֔ה וְנֹעֵ֥ר בָּשָׁ֖ן וְכַרְמֶֽל׃

33:9. The land dries up and withers away; the forest of Lebanon shrivels up and decays. Sharon is like the desert; Bashan and Carmel are parched.

33:9. The land of Israel wilts in mourning. Lebanon withers with shame. The plain of Sharon is now a wilderness. Bashan and Carmel have been plundered.

33:9. The land is sick and dying. Lebanon is dying and Sharon Valley is dry and empty. Bashan and Carmel once grew beautiful plants—but now those plants have stopped growing.
