8:9. וְגָדַלְתִּי וְהוֹסַפְתִּי מִכֹּל שֶׁהָיָה לְפָנַי בִּירוּשָׁלָםִ אַף חָכְמָתִי עָמְדָה לִּי ׃

8:9. ט את כל זה ראיתי ונתון את לבי לכל מעשה אשר נעשה תחת השמש  עת אשר שלט האדם באדם--לרע לו

8:9. אֶת־כָּל־זֶה רָאִיתִי וְנָתֹון אֶת־לִבִּי לְכָל־מַעֲשֶׂה אֲשֶׁר נַעֲשָׂה תַּחַת הַשָּׁמֶשׁ עֵת אֲשֶׁר שָׁלַט הָאָדָם בְּאָדָם לְרַע לֹו׃

8:9. ‏אֶת־כָּל־זֶ֤ה רָאִ֙יתִי֙ וְנָת֣וֹן אֶת־לִבִּ֔י לְכָֽל־מַעֲשֶׂ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר נַעֲשָׂ֖ה תַּ֣חַת הַשָּׁ֑מֶשׁ עֵ֗ת אֲשֶׁ֨ר שָׁלַ֧ט הָאָדָ֛ם בְּאָדָ֖ם לְרַ֥ע לֽוֹ׃

8:9. While applying my mind to everything that happens in this world, I have seen all this: Sometimes one person dominates other people to their harm.

8:9. I have thought deeply about all that goes on here under the sun, where people have the power to hurt each other.

8:9. All this have I seen, and applied my heart unto every work that is done under the sun: there is a time wherein one man hath power over another to his hurt.
