5:9. אֱדַיִן H116 שְׁאֵלְנָא H7593 לְשָׂבַיָּא H7868 אִלֵּךְ H479 כְּנֵמָא H3660 אֲמַרְנָא H560 לְּהֹם CPUN מַן H4479 ־ CPUN שָׂם H7761 לְכֹם CPUN טְעֵם H2942 בַּיְתָא H1005 דְנָה H1836 לְמִבְנְיָה H1124 וְאֻשַּׁרְנָא H846 דְנָה H1836 לְשַׁכְלָלָֽה H3635 ׃ EPUN

5:9. ס אֱדַיִן שְׁאֵלְנָא לְשָׂבַיָּא אִלֵּךְ כְּנֵמָא אֲמַרְנָא לְהֹם מַן־שָׂם לְכֹם טְעֵם בַּיְתָא דְנָה לְמִבְנְיָה וְאֻשַּׁרְנָא דְנָה לְשַׁכְלָלָה ׃

5:9. ט אדין שאלנא לשביא אלך כנמא אמרנא להם  מן שם לכם טעם ביתא דנה למבניה ואשרנא דנה לשכללה

5:9. אֱדַיִן שְׁאֵלְנָא לְשָׂבַיָּא אִלֵּךְ כְּנֵמָא אֲמַרְנָא לְּהֹם מַן־שָׂם לְכֹם טְעֵם בַּיְתָא דְנָה לְמִבְנְיָה וְאֻשַּׁרְנָא דְנָה לְשַׁכְלָלָה׃

5:9. ‏אֱדַ֗יִן שְׁאֵ֙לְנָא֙ לְשָׂבַיָּ֣א אִלֵּ֔ךְ כְּנֵ֖מָא אֲמַ֣רְנָא לְּהֹ֑ם3 מַן־שָׂ֨ם לְכֹ֜ם טְעֵ֗ם בַּיְתָ֤א דְנָה֙ לְמִבְנְיָ֔ה וְאֻשַּׁרְנָ֥א דְנָ֖ה לְשַׁכְלָלָֽה׃

5:9. We inquired of those elders, asking them, 'Who gave you the authority to rebuild this temple and to complete this structure?'

5:9. "We asked the leaders, 'Who gave you permission to rebuild this Temple and restore this structure?'

5:9. Then asked we those elders, and said unto them thus, Who gave you a decree to build this house, and to finish this wall?

5:9. Then we asked those elders and spoke to them thus, 'Who gave you a decree to build this house and to finish this structure?'

5:9. Then asked we those elders, [and] said unto them thus, Who commanded you to build this house, and to make up these walls?

5:9. Then we asked those elders and spoke to them thus, `Who gave you a decree to build this house and to finish this structure?'

5:9. Then asked we those elders, and said unto them thus, Who gave you a decree to build this house, and to finish this wall?

5:9. Then we have asked of these elders, thus we have said to them, Who hath made for you a decree this house to build, and this wall to finish?

5:9. We asked their leaders some questions about the work they are doing. We asked them, "Who gave you permission to rebuild this temple and repair it like new?"

5:9. Then asked we those elders, and said to them thus, Who gave you a decree to build this house, and to finish this wall?

5:9. Then H116 asked H7593 we those H479 elders, H7868 [and] said H560 unto them thus, H3660 Who H4479 commanded H7761 H2942 you to build H1124 this H1836 house, H1005 and to make up H3635 these H1836 walls H846 ?
