16:5. וַיְהִי כִּשְׁמֹעַ בַּעְשָׁא וַיֶּחְדַּל מִבְּנוֹת אֶת־הָרָמָה וַיַּשְׁבֵּת אֶת־מְלַאכְתּוֹ ׃ ס

16:5. ה ויהי כשמע בעשא ויחדל מבנות את הרמה וישבת את מלאכתו  {ס}

16:5. וַיְהִי כִּשְׁמֹעַ בַּעְשָׁא וַיֶּחְדַּל מִבְּנֹות אֶת־הָרָמָה וַיַּשְׁבֵּת אֶת־מְלַאכְתֹּו׃ ס

16:5. ‏וַיְהִי֙ כִּשְׁמֹ֣עַ בַּעְשָׁ֔א וַיֶּחְדַּ֕ל מִבְּנ֖וֹת אֶת־הָרָמָ֑ה וַיַּשְׁבֵּ֖ת אֶת־מְלַאכְתּֽוֹ׃ ס

16:5. When Baasha heard the news, he stopped fortifying Ramah and abandoned the project.

16:5. As soon as Baasha of Israel heard what was happening, he abandoned his project of fortifying Ramah and stopped all work on it.

16:5. And it came to pass, when Baasha heard thereof, that he left off building Ramah, and let his work cease.
