38:2. וַיַּרְא־שָׁם יְהוּדָה בַּת־אִישׁ כְּנַעֲנִי וּשְׁמוֹ שׁוּעַ וַיִּקָּחֶהָ וַיָּבֹא אֵלֶיהָ ׃

38:2. ב וירא שם יהודה בת איש כנעני ושמו שוע ויקחה ויבא אליה

38:2. וַיַּרְא־שָׁם יְהוּדָה בַּת־אִישׁ כְּנַעֲנִי וּשְׁמֹו שׁוּעַ וַיִּקָּחֶהָ וַיָּבֹא אֵלֶיהָ׃

38:2. ‏וַיַּרְא־שָׁ֧ם יְהוּדָ֛ה בַּת־אִ֥ישׁ כְּנַעֲנִ֖י וּשְׁמ֣וֹ שׁ֑וּעַ וַיִּקָּחֶ֖הָ וַיָּבֹ֥א אֵלֶֽיהָ׃

38:2. There Judah saw the daughter of a Canaanite man named Shua. Judah acquired her as a wife and had marital relations with her.

38:2. There he saw a Canaanite woman, the daughter of Shua, and he married her. When he slept with her,

38:2. Judah met a Canaanite girl there and married her. The girl's father was named Shua.
